Dubai Opera is a 2,000-seat performing arts center located in The Opera District in Downtown Dubai. It was developed by Emaar Properties to host a variety of performances and events including theatre, opera, ballet, concerts, conferences, and exhibitions. The building is shaped like a dhow, an Arab boat that has traditionally been used for fishing in the region, and is typical of Dubai’s maritime history. The venue can be converted into a traditional theatre, concert hall, banquet hall, or exhibition space. Dubai Opera has won several awards, including ‘Best Theatrical Performance’ and ‘Favorite Show.’
